The Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day walks are designed to raise funds for breast cancer awareness. Each walk takes place over three days and covers approximately 60 miles. Net proceeds generated by the annual walks are disbursed through the Avon Products Foundation to fund breast cancer programs and organizations nationwide in the areas of medical research and clinical care; financial assistance and support services for breast cancer survivors, patients and their families; educational seminars and advocacy training; and non-profit, community-based early detection programs.

Sista Strut aims to heighten awareness about the issues of breast cancer in women of color, as well as provide information on community resources. Studies show that African American women are more likely to get breast cancer at a younger age and have a death rate from breast cancer higher than Caucasian women of the same age. Sista Strut recognizes the strength of survivors, their family and friends, heightens awareness, promotes early detection and the search for a cure.
