Plate A is a light photomicrograph of sperm smear and green sperm heads in plate B show damage to sperm DNA under fluoroscent microscopy. Nuclear transfer in Mouse Oocytes: A - lancing of zona pellucida, B and C - removal of germinal vesicle, D - an isolated germinal vesicle. This photo shows a human blastocyst - an embryo days old.
Sperm preservation protocols differ among animal species because of different sperm characteristics among species. Rat sperm have extreme sensitivity to suboptimal conditions in centrifugation, pipetting and chilling due to their longer tail, the shape and size of the sperm head, and membrane composition. The aim of this study was to determine optimal conditions for short-term storage of rat sperm by evaluating their motility and membrane and acrosomal integrity in response to various extender solutions, temperatures, and durations.
Tutor A. Spermatozoa were first described by Leeuwenhoek in the 17th century but it was not until that the sperm count was found to be associated with fertility potential Since that time a variety of sperm tests and semen parameters have been developed with the hope of clarifying whether or not a man could impregnate his partner.

It is estimated that the world population will double by In many countries about 50 percent of pregnancies are unplanned 3 and delinquency in contraception has lead to abortion in half of the all pregnancies; therefore, safer and more effective contraceptive methods are needed.
Humans are ubiquitously exposed to multiple environmental contaminants. Consequences of combined action on the reproductive system remain unknown. This study aimed to assess single and joint effects of cadmium and diazinon exposure on sperm quality parameters.

The aim of this study was to assess the sperm quality and testicular histomorphometry of Wistar rats supplemented with extract and fractions of fruits of Tribulus terrestris L. The ethanolic extract was obtained by dynamic maceration of spray-dried fruit. This extract was fractionated by liquid-liquid partition, using increasing polarity solvents.
